4 Simple Solutions to Fix Internet Connection Problems in QuickBooks Payments

In order to resolve the QuickBooks payment error due to Internet Connection, follow these steps:

Method 1: Change your firewall and security software settings

Change the settings for your firewall or virus security software. Just like any other web-based credit card processing software, QuickBooks Payments too requires a secure, steady connection to send and receive data. See if the connection problem has been fixed. If not, move on to the next step.

Method 2: Clear the Internet Explorer caches and cookies

You can perform this troubleshooting method even if you are using Windows 10/Windows 11 or any web browser other than Internet Explorer. QuickBooks Payments program uses Internet Explorer at the background to connect to its services online.

  • At first, hit a click on Internet Explorer and open it.
  • Click on the Gear icon at the top right of the browser window. (Alternatively, you can also press the Alt key on your keyboard to pull up the menu bar, and then select the Tools menu.)
  • Choose Internet Options from the menu.

  • Open Microsoft Edge.
  • Click on the button that has three dots (…) at the top right of the browser window.
  • Choose Open with Internet Explorer.
  • Follow the steps mentioned-above to clear the cookies and cache.

If the Internet connection problem exists even after removing caches and cookies, move on to the next step.
